About

In January, 2022, my now 7 year old son was home quarantining from Pre-k. Trying to stay busy, the two of us would spend quality time together; playing, reading, drawing, cooking, and doing lots of arts and crafts, including making bracelets and necklaces out of clay beads and elastic string. When his classroom reopened, he went back to school and I found myself bored and looking for things to do. I decided to use up the remaining beads he and I had shared, making jewelry just for fun, but quickly realized how much I loved making "stuff." Wanting to continue creating, I bought a little desk and some jewelers tools, traded in the clay beads for gemstones, and built up a small collection of my own hand-made beaded jewelry.

Once people began stopping me on the street to compliment my jewelry or to  ask me where I got my pieces from, I knew I was on to something great. Knowing that I was wearing something I created with my own two hands was exciting, but knowing other people were interested in my designs too was inspiring and encouraging. And that's why I started Randie Michele Jewelry.

As a former teacher, I never imagined I'd become a jeweler, but here I am, and I am so thankful of where I am today. I was always a creative person; my father and grandmother are and were, respectively, very talented artists, so I'd like to think they passed their skills on to me. I am now fully immersed in jewelry making; from the design process to the rendering itself, I am constantly amazed at what my hands can do. Although I am mostly self-taught, I enjoy taking courses and workshops to expand upon, and perfect, different skills and techniques. From time to time, I still hand-knot beaded jewelry, but these days, my jewelry is hand-crafted by following the intricate Lost Wax Method, a process which allows me to carve my designs out of wax before being cast in metal. I absolutely love this process; it is so rewarding to me when my pieces are finally in metal form, especially after they are polished! Every day I am constantly dreaming up new ideas and designs, and I believe that the best is always yet to come!

While I have many "ready to ship" pieces, I love working with my clients to create something really special and unique. My "Love Note" collection is my most personalized and meaningful collection yet, and probably my most favorite. Behind each piece is a story of love and special bonds. It is so special that I get to engrave such significant messages, knowing they will be embedded in a high-quality, heirloom piece of jewelry for you to wear forever.

I am so proud of where Randie Michele Jewelry is today as well as the direction I am heading in. I am so thankful I bought that bead kit for my son, and I am also so thankful for my husband, who supported me and encouraged me to turn a hobby I loved so much in to a full time career. I passionately pour my heart and soul into every design I create, and I am so elated seeing my pieces adorned by others, all around the world. I am so appreciative for every purchase, every review and all your support; it really means everything to me!
